This term we were lucky enough to be visited by a student from China, who studied with us for four weeks. We enjoyed learning about her school in China and she made some great friends here.

Hello fellow bloggers,
I’m sure we all had such a great time with our international student, AY. It was so fun to play with her as she was such a nice friend but depressingly, she had to go back to China (At least she would be happy going back home). If only AY would know how much we ALL miss her.
Bye AY!

RA
Dear World,
I’m sure AY had a great time here at this wonderful school. I witnessed her trying new things and always having a smile on her face. Agreeing with RA, she was friends with pretty much the whole class. I’m sure she a wonderful time at Serpell Primary School.

Dear World,
I really enjoyed have AY in our class, as she was so funny and as AJ and RA said she was friendly with everyone and I don’t think she left one person out. She had such a great personality and thinks of everyone. I think she was very brave to come in a classroom where everyone knows each other and she was just starting to learn English. I would of been petrified walking in to a new classroom with new people so I miss her so much and wish she could of stayed. TS and I loved playing with her at recess and lunch as she loved all of the same things. (I hope she is happy back at her home)

Hi everyone,
a few months back, AY came as an international student from China.
She was a wonderful addition to the class – always cheerful and polite to everybody.
AY had a positive attitude towards expanding her English vocabulary, and she contributed well with the rest of the class.
AY, I’m sure everyone thinks of you and I really hope that you had a great time at our school.
Thanks for reading,

Dear 5NR,
A while ago, 5NR had an amazing exchange student visit our class…AY! She was extremely polite and was eager to learn more of the English language! She made new friends every step of the way which was awesome! We were extremely sad to see her go but we knew that we would keep in touch. Our classroom didn’t really seem as fun as it was with AY… she was an amazing fit to our classroom and we miss her heaps!
Thanks for reading!!! KH
Dear 5NR,
Having AY over in Australia was great. Although she didn’t understand English that well, she would try her hardest to figure it out and she always had the biggest smile on her face. Her smile was so big I thought it got bigger by the second. JS, GS and I were fortunate enough to help her around the school for the first few days till she got the hang of it. We were also able to introduce her to tiggee and play with her at recess and lunch. Time went by so fast with AY that it was time to say goodbye. JS and I were lucky to be able to make a little gift on behalf of the class as you can see in the pictures above. Overall AY was a wonderful student.
I hope AY is having a fantastic time in china.
